I have been playing with Sorian AI for the whole time and it was a lot of fun. However, I am not shure on how well it will behave in a long run since have decided to play with a building restriction for MASS FABRICATORS. With them around I find mass extractors almost worthless as a T1 unit leftover (after its been killed) and there is not much of a reason to expand.. I fear that Sorian AI may not handle the restriction well and loose much of its ability. I also fear the same for the other AIs. Does anyone know if they are affected by the restriction much? Would be very cool to hear the "top" answer from Sorian himself.
Now back to my original question, which AI is the hardest to play against? Also I have Sorian AI with me (most up to date version I assume 2.5e) and also Jaws2002 water AI 2.5e that does not pose any threat on maps that have "rivers" of watter instead of large bodies of water (haven't tested with large bodies of water). Other than the Sorian AI I also have Sorian Rush but haven't tested that one yet, but I also have cheating version.
The CHEATING version I have tested wich is rather crazy (fun too) and while I am planning to play with the cheating version I want to clear out one very important question. The cheating AI receives money (mass+energy) boost, is it a x2 or x5 boost from what it has build or is it lets say +200 mass AND what ever it has on the map actualy built. If its a multiplier can someone tell me the number? and if its just a handicap from the start to finish what is that income? I have read some posts that had cheating ai config but it was for FA (expansion), but I don't play expansion (I dislike nerfed experimentals

Thanks in advance and I would like to give my thanks to all those talented people out there who have the will and knowlege to create challenging AI that we players take for granted

In any case there is a 2.0 and 2.0 resource and build time cheat by default.
This means that for every point of mass persecond he would get normally without cheating, is doubled, ie 5 mass per second becomes 10 mass persecond, and I believe its the same for energy as well.
The build time multiplier is what is name says, and effectively doubles the build speed of engineers, ACUs and SCUs and factories.
If by some miracle you can beat Sorian wit those, try beating two of them, ie the Sorian AI's are teamed together.|||I found that playing FFA's with the AI's is actually harder. But you need a proper map for it.|||Hes using SupCom 1 not FA guys or at least I hope he is as hes running Jaws and the SupCom 1 version of Sorian
To the original poster I would get FA and use Duncans AI i much prefer it to Sorians
FA AI is overall better then what was in SupCom especially with AI mods|||I will check Duncas AI and see how that one goes, as for now I decided to play with Sorian cheater AI without the mass restriction mod (I just won't build mass extractors while he will). Defending against those swarms shure is fun but ugh advancing will be quite a challange I am looking for. Thank you for explanation, I found the cheat multiplier at the map settings menu and will use to my interest. While now I have a good idea on how AIs work (also from reading numerous posts in the AI section) I have noticed some say that Sorian AI does not like 250 unit cap, so do I give it a bigger unit cap than 250 or a smaller unit cap? Or there is no difference, just not the 250? I just want to clear that out

Also now I got the lates version 2.8 of Sorian Ai with Jaws and again there is a rush and a tech version. While I know that the rush version will make use of more units and not tech as fast as the other I am wondering. When normal Sorian AI reaches maximum tech, will it swich to rush tactics and act like the rush AI? Or will it send less units but more Experimentals? Which one makes more experimentals, me like many experimentals case they ar kwel

You really need to get FA, as the AI can then be adjusted to be actually unbeatable.|||slinki|||Valik|||slinki|||Yeah I think I remember reading somewhere that a build and cheat multiplier of 1.2 resembles a good human player, but the sky is the limit..well almost.|||slinki
