Texturing weapon particles.

So, i've made a new beam weapon, and now I'm wondering, how to edit weapon particles with photoshop. Well the only thing i really need to know how to save it. Because most of the times it'll tell me "image width and size must be multiple of four". And other times it'll save a file with a 0 size and when i try to open it photoshop thinks i'm creating a new file. Any help? I'm using Photoshop CS 5 with the DDS plugin, of course.|||Paint.net deals with DDS files much better then photoshop. DDS are pretty much at the right settings with Paint.net, so theres nothing to alter there.|||I can't edit the file in Paint.net properly.|||brandon007|||I'm trying to edit the Monkeylord beam's file, and then use it for my unit.
Also, by "file the size of 0" when i actually managed to save the file i changed, winrar said that it's size was 0 once saved. I forgot which way i saved it.
Anyway, in what way should i save the file, DXT1, DXT3, ect? Also, this seems to be an issiue only with certian texture files. The texture for the orbital laser for example saves normally with DXT5.|||RK4000|||I must be doing something wrong because, after i save the file it is flipped vertically, and once it's fired it acts... very, very strange.
Edit: It seems to be scrolling the file from the left to the right, at least thats how it looks like while it's firing.|||RK4000|||I think the pictures & video say it all:

Yep, something is definately wrong. Because the default file looked exactly like this, except for the brightness/color.

Edit: This is how BlackOps particles look like too. (i look at a lot of things in BlackOps to understand how stuff works)|||Why is it "infinitely" scaling like that?
Seems like you got something bugged up somewhere, cause I've done all the BO texture edits and never had any problems, I've prolly done hundreds of edits at this point.
Try uninstalling the plug then reinstalling it.
Mike|||Nevermind, the problem has been fixed. Overrated shed light on this, by telling me to not load MIP Maps and to not load Flipped Vertically.
