[SC2] Porting FA units/structures into SC2

I'd like to port over some FA units/structures into SupCom 2, namely the ones that LoD will not be using in his mod but that I would like to make use of, and to start somewhere simple with the ultimate aim of creating my own units.
Using 3ds Max, I am aware of the importer/exporter available on the forums: http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=8582.
Also, I understand that the files of interest are the ones in /Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance/gamedata/units.scd/units/*.*, specifically *.dds, *.sca, and *.scm.
At this point, I don't want to do any image and animation editing whatsoever. I just want to make the units/structures compatible for use in SupCom 2, as my understanding is that things are not compatible straight out of the box. I'll sort through the bp and scripting codes myself to make things compatible on that front.
So, after following the instructions to install the above importer/exporter, when I start 3ds Max what exactly do I do to make the FA files compatible for use with SupCom2?|||Its funny, you know abotu the Modeling Forums, yet you still ask the questions here....
Thread Moved.
Mike|||My apologies. An oversight on my part :?

EDIT: Just came across the tool specifically for SC2, which isn't linked to in the head post of the 3ds Max exporter sticky: http://janvanderweg.com/supcom2/supcom2tool.zip.
EDIT2: And it looks like I just found the solution, or at least part of it based on the author's understanding of the SC2 files... http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=47192&start=1.
