[SC2] Icon Texture Format?

After reading the forums, I could not find the answer to this question…it could be there but I may have overlooked it. In that case, Opps. :D Anyways, I’m using Photoshop with the Nvidia plugin and I’m attempting to create a new icon for a new unit that I made. I loaded one of the icons, added a Nuke symbol, and was attempting to save. In order for it to show up normal, what format should you put the icon in? DXT1 No alpha? DXT5 Interpolated alpha? Any one of the several more options….lol? :D
Thanks,
~Cpt_USMC
lol...Ok so I tried half the items in the save format and still NADA. What do the Settings Need to be?
DXT1 No alpha?
DXT5 Interpolated alpha?
2D Texture?
Volume Texture?
Generate MIP maps
Use Existing MIP maps?|||Sorry I haven't really tried any of this in SupCom 2. In FA it doesn't seem to matter how you save it, as long as it has an alpha... or at least I haven't had to think about it too much.
Are you sure the icon gets loaded in the first place? Have you tried placing some random stock icon there and see if it shows correctly, just to know you get yours in game at all?|||its 32bit A8R8G8B8, 2D Texture , no MipMaps and you want the size to be 58x58 |||In its file path:
.scd\textures\ui\common\icons\hud\pc_units\.dds
Before adding any Icon.dds to this folder, the icon in the new unit's hud menu is blank. Than I copy, paste, & rename a pre-existing icon, add it to .scd in the above path...this loads properly. I can do this for any pre-existing icon. :D
Than, for formatting purposes, I open the original pre-existing icon in Photoshop CS2. I do not change the image in any way. Save it with the Nvidia dds plugin as .dds, than add this saved filed to .scd in the above path...depending on the format it loads fuzzy or pixilated. :( I mean the image is there, its just messed up. Any Ideas?
 lol ... faces are fun.
*Edit* Thanks liveordie, Those settings worked.|||No problems
