Desynch problem

[:1]Not sure where else to put this.

It may or may not be due to AI mods.

====

Background:

Basically, a friend and I were going to play a team game against some AI's, something we haven't done for many months.

To be safe, I uninstalled SupCom and FA on both computers and threw the leftover THQ folder in the trash. (Damn half-assed uninstallers.)

I then installed FA from the disk onto both computers, logged onto GPGnet and patched them, and installed only the latest version of Sorian's AIs.

====

Problem:

Every time we try to do a lan game it desynchs on the very first beat of the game.

Does anybody know what could be going on here?

I'm stumped.

====

Strange observation:

On one of the computers, the Terrain Deformation mod shows up in the mod manager?

How could this be? The old THQ folder and all of it's contents were deleted.

This doesn't make any sense afaic.|||Mods and Maps are also stored in your My Games Folder, not just the install dir. Are you absolutely sure you installed the same Sorian AI version on both systems? And are you absolutely sure you patched both games to the same (latest) version? Such desyncs will only occur, if active (non-UI) mods are not the same (or simply not present) or if the version of the games differ (SupCom/FA doesn't check if you have the same version in LAN games).|||I thought there was another folder where stuff was kept, but I couldn't remember what it was so I figured that was a different game. >.<

As for the patching and Sorian versions.

I restarted GPGnet an extra time just to make sure I didn't miss any patches.

And the Sorian versions would be the same unless he just happened to change the file linked to yesterday between the two times I clicked to download it. :?|||It could indeed be that it's leftover files in the My Documents\My Games\GPGnet blah blah folder. Clear that one out too.
