Replays?|||It depends on the cheat multiplier you set to. Below 10 it's doable for me.
Also if the game is assassination it's easier too.
You also need to kill it early before T3.
Sorry I don't have a replay though|||You need to attack it and do some damage before the 10 minute mark and then keep hitting it. A rush to T2 will also do it. Both of which are good practice if you are going to play ranked.
If you let it get past that its gets increasingly harder and harder

basically, within 60 seconds you have for uef
resource allocation,
t2 engy suite
t3 engy suite
nuke launcher or shield.
you cannot start building nukes, as they kill all your energy, and mass.
You can then start off building t3 mass etc,
your score will beat sorian first thing, and slowly he will then beat you back.
it allows you play extended games against sorian without sweating too much, but still having a challenge, as those commander abilities quickly wear off in effectiveness by the 5 minute amrk where sorian is beating at your door seriously.|||I've been trying it on isis with whatever the default multipliers are. Its really brutal, longest I lasted was about 25 minutes at which point there was a collosus in my base. I'd love to see a replay of someone beating it in that scenario.|||Don't feel bad about not being able to beat it on Fields of Isis with 2x cheat multiplier and omni on. Unless you spawn on the same side as the AI.
The map is too large to com rush in time before the AI has enough units to kill your commander, and if you try to ghetto gunship, the AI builds several interceptors before the transport has even filled up with the LABs (remember it gets full omni vision with the cheating AI). This happens even if you get the gunship up in under three minutes (I've tried.)
The standard spamming tactic does not work because the AI starts building units far before you do and builds them twice as fast, with twice the resources available to build them.
These reasons are why I don't like to play against the cheat AI, even though the non-cheating AIs (even Sorian's still) are absolute push-overs. The cheats just change the entire balance of the game and force you to resort to very cheap tactics (like the Seraphim regen-field) to even hold your ground in the beginning (on Fields of Isis.)|||I agree that the default AIx rate is too high. I guess they want to show how hard the AI can be.
In my AI pack I reduced from 2x speed to 1.5x and I find that about the right level to feel like you are playing a top level (but not unbeatable) player without effecting the balance too much.
If you want to tweak it down further you can always use Sorians Cheatoptions mod. Just a slight boost (say 1.2) makes Sorians AI quite a bit harder, but still beatable

I try 50 (max), when i succeed i will post a replay.
The key is T2 Ary when playing cybran.|||He was talking about Forged Alliance.
EDIT: Sorry, I meant this thread has switched context from vanilla to FA.|||i always play with a 20 minute build timer and i have never lost to an AI, although ive never tried against the most difficult cheating AI.
if you play with a build timer as UEF, all you really have to do is put your base in a corner, put all the resource generation stuff in the back, and then build up tons of defenses and shields in the front. Layer shields with Fatboys and T3 SAMS underneath and you pretty much create an inpenetrable fortress. For attacking purposes, just build some satellite "defenses" and take out anything thats unshielded and then go after nukes and experimentals under construction. Once your resources are up and running, i think the commander can build an antisatellite facility every 5 minutes or so... so you just keep accumulating those until you are able to take out everything with ease (20 satellites can take out an enemy base very quickly)
